WHEELS OF LOVE 2024: UPDATE

We are less than two months away from our 24th annual Wheels of Love (WOL) ride to benefit the children of ALYN Hospital! This year’s ride is scheduled November 11-14 and has been dedicated to the memory of Yakir Hexter, z”l, a WOL cyclist who was killed in action fighting in Gaza.

This year’s ride will range from the shores of the Dead Sea to the mountains of Jerusalem.

The WOL team is working hard to ensure your experience is both memorable and meaningful. In addition to four days of challenging riding, we are offering a trip on Sunday, November 10 to Southern Israel, with poignant stops at the sites of the Nova Dance Party, Kibbutz Be’eri and the lot at T’kuma, where the burned vehicles were collected as a memorial.

Wheels of Love 2024 is far more than a bike ride; registering to join an effort to raise millions for children with disabilities at ALYN is an unmistakable display of solidarity with the people of Israel amid unprecedented national suffering.

We are absolutely planning to ride in Israel this November. However, we also recognize that, due to the continuing hostilities in the Middle East, it is difficult to secure airline tickets and there may be hesitation within our community to travel to Israel.

If you are one of those who cannot make it to Israel but still wants to help, you can do so as a virtual rider or through a community ride.  No matter what you choose, this is your opportunity to personally reach out to your community to stand in support of the children at ALYN Hospital and Israel.

There is no registration fee and no fundraising minimum. To join, simply contact the AFAH office via email, or call us: 212-869-8085.

The most important thing is that we find ways to support ALYN’s lifechanging work to ensure that the children we treat continue to receive the comprehensive, best-in-class support they need.  Even if you are undecided about your participation, your efforts in fundraising right now could make a critical difference
