In Jewish tradition, a girl’s 12th birthday is a very special day – the day she becomes a Bat Mitzvah and takes on the rights and obligations of a Jewish adult. In honor of this milestone year, Maya Peled has committed to performing twelve meaningful tasks. One of them is doing something for the greater Jewish community.
First, she sold homemade empanadas as a fundraiser – a total of 720 were sold!
Now, her goal is to raise $5000 for ALYN Hospital.
