Legacy Planning

Use the Present to Think about ALYN’s Future

ALYN Hospital is the only facility of its kind in Israel, leading the way in pediatric and adolescent rehabilitation for youth with physical disabilities. You can have an impact on the lives of these children. A planned gift from your estate to the American Friends of ALYN Hospital will ensure the long-term financial well-being of ALYN so that the hospital can continue both to provide best-in-class care as well as to remain on the cutting edge of technology-based solutions that benefit the children of ALYN and people with disabilities worldwide.

BEQUESTS

Leave a legacy through a bequest. A bequest can be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or a specific asset given to American Friends of ALYN Hospital after your lifetime. A bequest can help to reduce or eliminate the estate tax. A gift can be made through a will, trust or retirement plan.

CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITY

The charitable gift annuity (CGA) is a simple agreement between you and American Friends of ALYN Hospital and provides you with guaranteed income for life. You donate cash, stock, or real estate directly to the American Friends of ALYN Hospital in return for a promise to pay a fixed amount to you during your lifetime. The payout rate is determined based on your age at the time of the gift and when payments are to begin. The older the beneficiary, the higher the rate.

The payments are fixed and backed by the general assets of American Friends of ALYN Hospital. CGAs begin at $10,000 and can be funded, in some instances, with appreciated assets. The rate is proposed with the intention that this charity will retain approximately 50% of the donor’s original gift. Payments are usually made on an annual, quarterly or monthly basis.

TREE OF LIFE

As a show of gratitude for leaving ALYN a bequest in your will, we award immediate recognition by means of placing a leaf on our symbolic Tree of Life. Planting a tree is a symbol of planning for future growth. What a wonderful opportunity to plant for future generations of ALYN children.
