SPOTLIGHT: THE CHALEM FAMILY - M’DOR L’DOR

This summer, I returned to ALYN Hospital with my parents, Gilbert and Marilyn Chalem. Together, we witnessed the impressive advancements in pediatric rehabilitation technology. The tour we received highlighted the hospital’s unwavering commitment to improving the lives of children with disabilities, showcasing innovative prosthetics and cutting-edge rehabilitation techniques.

My family has supported ALYN for many years. My father has participated in several ALYN Wheels of Love rides, and he passed that passion onto me. I have now become a strong advocate of the ride, participating in both Israel and US events in recent years.

As a family, we have been profoundly touched by the stories of children whose lives have been transformed by the hospital. These stories are the driving force behind our continued support of this extraordinary institution.

After the visit, my father sent this in a heartfelt thank you note to the ALYN staff:

“It was truly a pleasure and an honor to visit ALYN and witness once again the incredible work being done for the children. We were all amazed by the dedication and hard work of everyone at ALYN, and we sincerely congratulate you on the wonderful job you do. We are deeply touched by the profound impact the hospital has on the lives of so many children and their families.

To make the visit even more meaningful, I joined the ALYN Night Hike in July, an overnight experience in the Judean Desert. For me, taking part in the hike was a unique and memorable birthday gift. Despite the challenges of trekking through the night, I found the experience rewarding and motivating, driven by a shared commitment to ALYN’s mission. The camaraderie and energy among the hikers made the night hike unforgettable. I am already looking forward to next year’s night hike and the upcoming November Wheels of Love event. See you there!
